Final Thesis
Final thesis are always assigned with reference to the current research topics of the DBIS chair. The exact task is defined in dialogue with the supervising employee, based on the student's interests and previous knowledge. Of course, you can also approach us with your own topics.
In the case of Bachelor's and Master's thesis, a successful pass of the lectures Databases I and Databases II is usually a basic prerequisite for taking up a thesis with us. The lecture Database Application Programming would also be helpful.
For Master's thesis, lectures from the specialisation Information Systems are required, e.g. Databases III or Theory of Relational Databases, in certain projects (Hydra) also the lecture Digital Libraries and Multimedia-Information-Retrieval.
